Viral Genotyping for Immunocompromized Patients

Pathogenica’s unqiue multiplexing capablility allows for many tests that have traditionally been performed individually by PCR to be run in a simultaneously in a single assay. This approach cuts time, sample requirements and reagent cost.

Pathogenica offers a panel to screen for common pathogens in transplant and immunocompromised patients. This panel includes

  • Epstein-Barr virus (HHV 4)
  • Cytomegalovirus (HHV 5)
  • Human metapneumoavirus
  • JC polyomavirus
  • BK polyomavirus
  • Parvovirus B19
  • Varicella-Zoster virus (HHV 3)
  • Herpes simplex Virus (HHV 1 and 2)
  • Human Herpes Virus (HHV 6,7,8)
  • Common respiratory viruses, including RSV and adenovirus

This test provides both viral genotypes and quantitative viral load information. Unique to Pathogenica’s approach is the ability to choose which subsets of pathogens to report from a single combined test.
