Anaerobic Agar
Principle Anaerobic agar is composed of tryptone, dextrose, sodium chloride, sodium thioglycolate, sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate, methylene blue, and agar. Tryptone acts as a source of nitrogen and dextrose is a carbon and energy source. Sodium chloride maintains osmotic equilibrium. Sodium thioglycollate and sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate are reducing agents. Methylene Blue serves as an indicator of anaerobiosis with a blue color indicating the presence of oxygen. Agar is the solidifying agent. Use: Recommended for the cultivation of anaerobic bacteria, especially Clostridium species and other anaerobic organisms from clinical and non-clinical samples ,Intend use : • 18% GST extra on Product • Packaging, Handling & Transport charges (with GST) extra as applicable. • Delivery period : 3-4 weeks or earlier as per availability.
