Antibiotic Assay Medium No-2

Principle The media is composed according to the USP, recommended as a basal medium for antibiotic assay of a wide variety of antibiotics. It is composed of peptone, meat extract, yeast extract, and agar. Peptone, meat extract, and yeast extract provide nitrogen, carbon, vitamins essential nutrients. This medium is used as a basal medium for seed agar, used for a wide variety of antibiotic assays. Use: Recommended as a basal medium for microbiological assay of antibiotics. PARAMETERS STANDARD VALUES PHYSICAL PARAMETERS: Dehydrated Powder A fine, free flowing, hygroscopic powder. Color Beige colored powder.
